Good morning and welcome to the Maverick Family! This is The WEEKLY Blast and it is published weekly during the school year. Here you will find the most recent announcements and two weeks worth of schedules.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
BRING INSTRUMENTS TO SCHOOL EVERY DAY : Students must have their instruments in school every day. Students can put their instruments in their Band Locker PRIOR to 7:30 AM.
LOCKER RENTALS:
Locker Rentals are being sold at school for $13 in the band room. Please bring exact change.
UNIFORMS
Jazz Bands - Uniform Fittings will begin for Guayaberas on Monday and Tuesday during their classes.
Concert Bands (Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Symphony) Tuxedo & Dress orders will start Thursday August 20.
ALL-STATE AUDITIONS: MUSIC - Students should bring All-State Music to school every day.
AUDITIONS - Mr. R will be signing up students this week. There is an audition fee and it will be posted on The BAND App soon.
BAND CALENDAR SUBSCRIBE TO THE MIAMI ARTS STUDIO BANDS CALENDAR: (This will allow you to have ALL dates for the MAS Bands on your Phone and Computer Calendars)-First Click on the link below, then Scroll down and Click on "Subscribe to Calendar" to have all of our dates populate on your Calendars: https://www.masbandmiami.com/calendar-1
MAGNET FEES:
Band Fees for ALL Concert Bands (CB, SB, WS) are $105. The Band Fee includes the 4% fee accessed by M-DCPS. No cash payments are accepted.
Jazz Band Fees for ALL Jazz Bands are $47.
The Band Fee includes the 4% fee accessed by M-DCPS. No cash payments are accepted.
DEADLINE FOR MAGNET FEES IS SEPTEMBER 7TH. Payments can be made on through OSP on the Dade Schools Potal.
STUDENT & PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
-August 29, the MAS Band is hosting the Florida Bandmasters Association at MAS. We need some volunteers to help. Please see Mr. Erich Rivero to sign up.
-We need parent volunteers to help with the locker organization at school. It would entail using the computer excel program, collecting money, and sorting paperwork. If you are available to help please message Mr. Erich Rivero. It would be during the school day for a few hours.
MAS RITMO:
If you’d like to audition for MAS Ritmo please see Mr. Erich Rivero to get the audition piece before Thursday.
