Good morning.

We had a great week this past week. All Bands are progressing and gearing up for our first Concert next month! Students should be practicing regularly on their concert repertoire and scales.

*Regarding the grade of a "Z" for the Handbook and Music Agreement forms, this means we do not have it. Students MUST turn this in by THIS Wed., 9/18, in order to have the "Z" removed for an "A." After Wednesday, School Owned Instruments will need to be returned if the form is not received.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

"GIVE BUTTER"

We began the "Give Butter" Fundraiser this week. If you can, please contribute as we utilize those funds to assist all of our Band Students.

TUXEDO & DRESS ORDER INFO:

The mybandstuff.com site will be active for orders THIS Monday at noon and will remain open until Sept. 26 (a week from Thursday) at midnight.

TUXEDOS - Prices for the Tuxedo are as follows when purchasing a la carte items.

 Tie = $4.59

 Cummerbun = $10.02

Shirt = $21.83

Pants = $36.73

Coat = $77.18

When buying the entire package, students should enter the discount code "tux-five" to receive a discount of $15.40.   

The tux package with shipping and tax and discount is $145.65

DRESSES - Both dresses are listed with a message that says the item is not open for ordering at this time. WATCH THE BAND APP FOR announcements from the director when the store is open to take dress orders.

MENTORING DATES & TIMES:

The dates for the next (2) weeks of Mentoring have changed. See below for details.

LONDON:

The Rehearsal Schedule for London is now posted on our website calender. The (6) London Rehearsals will be 9/30, 10/7, 10/21, 11/4, 12/16, and 12/18 from 2:45 PM - 4:00 PM. Click on https://www.masbandmiami.com/calendar-1 for the Calendar:

PARENTS - BECOME A CHAPERONE/VOLUNTEER: 

Please try and become a Chaperone /Volunteer on the parent portal. Go to www.dadeschools.net to register. We need parents that are cleared for both Level 1 (In county & Non overnight) and Level 2 (Overnight and everywhere). -For Level 1, you fill out on the portal and it takes about 10 min. Then after you register, you bring in your license to the school to complete the process.

-For Level 2, Do the same process and select level 2. Then go to school to show your license and get the letter for your fingerprinting appointment. At this time of the year it is very quick.  

JAZZ BAND STUDENTS:

If you have not gotten fitted for your Guayabera Uniform for Jazz Band, please see Mr. Rivero immediately. The Jazz Band Guayaberas are $48.00 (cash only), while the supplies last. Payments should be placed in the MAS Band Drop Box Safe in the band room. YOU MUST DO THIS BY THIS WEDNESDAY, 9/15. 

ALL STATE AUDITIONS:

-All State Auditions are Saturday, 9/21, at Palmetto HS.

MAS RITMO UPCOMING PERFORMANCES & ATTIRE:

-MAS Ritmo will be performing on Fri., 9/27 during all (3) Lunches for MAS Friday.

-Attire for the MAS Ritmo Latin Band is MAS Ritmo hat, tshirt, black dress pants, and black dress shoes.

-MAS Ritmo Field Trip/Performance on Th., 10/17, 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM, at the Federal Reserve for Hispanic Heritage.
