ANNOUNCEMENTS:

ALL-STATE AUDITIONS: -Several Students still need to pay the $20 Audition Fee. Bring in Cash, put it in a Deposit Envelope with your name on it, and put it in the safe in the Band Room.

-Auditions are Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Miami Palmetto High School. Times will be posted once the District releases the schedule.

-The Rehearsal Schedule for the Magnet Showcase, "This Is Us," is as follows:

THE FIRST MENTORING SESSION is WED., 9/10: (CB, SB, WS)

Students from Concert Band (CB) and Symphonic Band (SB) should plan to partcipate in the Mentoring Day scheduled for Wed., 9/10, from 2:40 PM - 4:30 PM. Members of the Wind Symphony will be available to help students from both Bands with their music.

MOVIE NIGHT:

Our 1st Movie Night is scheduled for this Wed., 9/10, from 4:45 PM - 6:45 PM, right after the Mentoring Session!!! Admission is FREE and we will be watching "The Music Man."

CLUB RUSH:

Club rush is Fri., 9/12, during Periods 1 & 2. This is where Students can join Clubs.

The Band Clubs are as follows:

MAS JEN Jazz Club. This Club is about community service through Jazz! MAS Beats! This is a new Club where students will learn how to DJ and perform sound engineering for live events.

(Students that were in JEN last year are asked to wear their JEN Jazz Club T-Shirts on 9/12)

MAGNET FEES:

Band Magnet Fees are payable through OSP and must be paid BEFORE September 21st.

• The Magnet Fees are as follows:

-Band Magnet Fee is $80 (This is for ALL Students in Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony)

-Jazz Magnet Fee is $40 (This is only for students registered for a Jazz Band Class)
